As a reflection on the conclusion of an American era, the Lincoln Final Penny 11/12 Philadelphia Coin is a remarkably collectible commemorative coin produced in 2025. The coin features a dominant rich burnished copper hue that reflects the warmth of the history of U.S. coinage of more than a century. The obverse presents a richly engraved profile of Abraham Lincoln with an illuminated golden ribbon inscribed with the words “11/12” expressing the last minted coin date. Surrounding Lincoln’s profile, the coin says “FINAL PENNY – FINAL ISSUE PHILADELPHIA,” which reinforces its commemorative significance. The reverse features beautiful symbolic imagery and the imagery of an illuminating torch, representing legacy, the Statue of Liberty that represents freedom, and the industrial gears representing American progress. Beneath the image, the years 1909 – 2025 are presented to represent 115 years of production, in addition to the illuminated insignia in the lower left of the final-edition Lincoln penny.
